I think it is good. They are pushing the boundaries for clean user-friendly OS, and doing it on a short timetable.
Each of their major releases added something that added to the OS's usability. Hopefully this will spark other companies to step up to the table (I'm not going mention any names here...*cough Microsoft cough*).

Over the years both Apple and Microsoft have displayed a blatant disregard for their users and the progress of the computer industry as a whole. In their quest for profits, both companies have designed products designed to swindle customers as much as they provide benefits. Microsoft's products instantly become the norm in the industry which tends to afford them more forgiveness in this subject. Most software developers loathe Apple for their haphazard diversions from industry standards yet accept Microsoft's as par for the course. In the end, it is a continued lack of competition that allows these businesses to shortchange the world with little consequence.

Not so much. I am just as fast around the track as when they were shipping OS9.

Vista had to pull back with its release
OSX is a greater departure from previous versions of their OS and therefore they should get a pass for the time being.

Dis iz good.

We'll just have to wait and see how different Leopard is from Tiger.

From what I've seen it looks a little better, but there will be more "convenience features". But will there be enough "departure from previous versions"?

i applaud apple's agressive developments .
this doesnt mean users have to switch right away , specifically when an audio , video , creative compatibility issues might be present until programming code is modified and released as compatibile. all your critical apps have to be "blessed" as compatible to any major release - again , i'd rather have forward direction continuing rather than stalled features
