WAVE Corporation Meet the Team Craig WrightBio (Chapter 2, Please see IMUG 2007 booklet for Chapter 1): T-Bone carries a heavy weight on his shoulders. He wants to develop the perfect digital asset and content management solution. Luckily, for all of us, T-Bone has always enjoyed a good challenge and he is working now to overcome this one. It may be a struggle, and there will be ugly faces, but the load will be lifted, and WAVE will hold high, the perfect solution.

Hobbies: Biking, Rowing, Running, and Weightlifting.

Meet the Team: Robb Sands

Bio: I grew up in Vermont, have a great family that consists of my wife, two daughters, and two grandchildren. I am a Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins fan. Prior to working here I was employed for 23 years by The Lane Press Inc. in South Burlington, VT. It was there that I learned Desktop Publishing and became acquainted with Dan and Ward at Wave. I have been with Wave for over 4 years and my principal duties are QA, B.media support, and project management.

Hobbies: Hunting, Fishing, Poker, and as seen on another page here I am starting to get involved with Civil War Reenacting.

Favorite Quote: “Most people think that everything is just what they assume.” -Van Morrison

Random Fact: A couple of friends and I once won the ESLO (Empire State Lake Ontario) Fishing Derby, with a39 lb. 12oz. King Salmon.

Robb Sands Florida Civil War ReenactmentWAVE’s own Robb Sands “fought for the North” in a Civil War Battle Reenactment this past weekend.

Robb says:

“The Battle of Olustee was Florida’s largest Civil War battle. Reenactors come from all over Florida to relive the life and times of our Civil War ancestors. They camp out all weekend in as close to an authentic way as possible, then stage battles for spectators. It is a great way to learn about about one part of our nations history.”

Meet the Team: Les Veres Photo

Bio: Les graduated from Rollins college with a degree in Economics. He was one of the founding members of WAVE in 1987. Since then he has been an integral part of the WAVE sales team.

Favorite Hobbies: Motorcycle Racing, Golf, Softball, and Snow Skiing.

Favorite Food: Barbeque and Beer

Random Fact: I have known Craig aka TBone (one of WAVE’s software developers) since he was in diapers.

Meet the Team MauroEmployee Name: Mauro Baquero

Bio: Mauro Baquero is a graduate of The University of Central Florida (U.C.F.) in sunny Orlando, Florida. with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Unlike many individuals, his university experience began the same summer he graduated from high school. He was accepted into a special program named S.P.A.C.E that allowed for a chosen few high school graduates to begin their engineering program early. During that summer, he was introduced to many different aspects of engineering and was able to visit different sites specializing in engineering such as Westinghouse and N.A.S.A. It served as major reassurance to him that he was on the right track. Four years later, he graduated with only one summer break since he arrived at U.C.F.

Hobbies: Sports Photography, Street Riding (Motorcycles)

Favorite TV Shows: Motorcycle Racing, Las Vegas, Heroes, The Office

Random Fact: Shoe size is 10.5 or 11, depending on the shoe

Meat the WAVE Team: Kayla Martin Employee Name: Kayla Martin

Bio:
Kayla is the Web Designer, Graphic Designer, and all-around Creative at WAVE. Kayla joined WAVE in February 2007, after graduating Full Sail with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts and Design. Although Kayla is relatively new at WAVE, she joined us in February 2007, she has already made some big improvements including a complete re-build of wavecorp.com and is currently in the process of re-branding WAVE.

Hobbies:
Cooking, Fishing, Boating (or just being on/near the water), and Shopping

Some of you may remember Don Alder as the talented guitarist from the 2007 IMUG, and also as a speaker on behalf of the Rick Hansen Foundation.

Well, all of us at WAVE want to give a big shout out to Don because he just won first place in the 36th Annual Walnut Valley International Fingerstyle Guitar Contest!

From the Press Release:

“Don Alder of Vancouver, BC, Canada placed 1st in this prestigious contest. Don says he is very very young and getting younger each year. In real life he is a Technical Production Manager for the Rick Hansen Foundation. This is his fifth time attending the Festival. He is also a songwriter and has placed three years in a row in the instrumental portion of the Songwriter’s Showcase here at the Festival. At the age of 13 he was given an electric guitar when he got sick and had to miss school for 6 months. In addition to the guitar he also plays the harp guitar.”
