When a page is ready for layout, Whiteboards allow the User to mock-up the page for the designer. Generally this interface is used by merchandisers, product managers, or anyone who is making business decisions regarding the content of a page. Blocks that have been previously laid out can be added to the Whiteboard as Formatted Blocks. Formatted Blocks are like snapshots of a layout created in B.media's Layout Client. They retains links to the database, allowing quick reuse of existing presentations in other marketing vehicles. If a block has never appeared in a prior publication, there will be no Formatted Block available for reuse. In that case, the User selects a Block Template which formats the Assets and Attributes in the Block according to predefined rules. Once they are imported into B.media's Layout Client, the Blocks may be further refined with regard to aesthetics, styles, and positioning, and subsequently saved as Formatted Blocks
