Process Analysis

Objective:

The primary focus of the Workflow or Process Analysis is to discover, document and analyze an existing workflow in order to effectively design a stream-lined, multi-channel workflow utilizing a content management system.

Discovery:

All marketing channel content (print, web, mailers, etc.) is reviewed to determine risk for errors, data consistency, and layout effectiveness. All resource teams are interviewed both individually and as a group to communicate existing workflow processes including responsibilities, timeframes and execution. Current system infrastructure and system administration are also investigated during this phase.

Evaluation:

Data gathered from the discovery phase is thoroughly documented and analyzed by industry experts. Extraneous processes, error propagation, procedural dependencies, and key bottlenecks are identified as well as potential business opportunities. Detailed recommendations are provided to reduce production time, improve accuracy, and reuse data for all marketing channels.

Design:

The current workflow is refined to simplify the entire process, improve accountability, reduce time and effort, and minimize errors. The recommendations generated during the evaluation phase are incorporated with corporate standards, best practices, legacy considerations, resource availability, and production schedules into an enhanced workflow process and implementation plan. Many of the stream-lined processes can be implemented directly into the existing workflow while others can only be realized through utilizing a content management system.

Deliverables:

Production efficiency is completely uncovered by providing detailed documentation regarding the existing workflow, infrastructure, and intended objectives. An extensive list of recommendations is supplied including recommended implementation methods and resulting benefits.
