Windows:

1. Create a folder named conf in the MediaBank\lib directory.
2. Create a file named PageContentTypesToLoad.properties in the conf directory.
3. The file should contain the following line:

IDd2

Mac:

1. Control-click on the MediaBank application icon and select Show Package Contents.
2. Go to Content -> Resources -> Java.
3. Create a folder named conf in the Content:Resources:Java directory.
4. Create a file named PageContentTypesToLoad.properties in the conf directory.
5. The file should contain the following line:

IDd2

The MediaBank client will need to be restarted for the new settings to take affect. In the latest client update ( MB 3.5p1 20110624) the above configuration is no longer required.

MediaBank with InDesign CS 5.5

Posted on: July 14th, 2011 by Charlie Wright No Comments

When InDesign CS 5.5 was initially released it was compatible with the MediaBank plugins for CS 5.  However, when Adobe released their first update to CS 5.5 it no longer allowed plugins compiled with the CS 5 SDK to load.  Therefore, Adobe plugins had to be recompiled with the CS 5.5 SDK.

The MediaBank Adobe CS 5.5 plugins are now available on our support site.

Once you are logged in go to the follow location to find the CS 5.5 plugins.

Downloads >  MediaBank35P1 >  Updates >  Plugins and Extensions > InDesign

You should note that there is a known Adobe issue within InDesign CS 5.5 on OS X.  The CS 5.5 version of InDesign is incorrectly writing the type code as “IDd2″.  By default, the MediaBank client will only display the document checkout options dialog for a known valid set of type codes.

If you are not seeing the document checkout options dialog when checking out a CS 5.5 document on OSX, then you can download and use the latest MediaBank client (MB 3.5p1 20110624) or you can add the following configuration to your current MediaBank client:

1. Control-click on the MediaBank application icon and select Show
Package Contents.
2. Go to Content -> Resources -> Java.
3. Create a folder named conf in the Content:Resources:Java directory.
4. Create a file named PageContentTypesToLoad.properties in the conf
directory.
5. The file should contain the following single line:

IDd2

The MediaBank client will need to be restarted for the new settings to take effect.
